Portrait of José Sánchez Saltos

I’m José Sánchez Saltos. I build software and turn ideas into products.

I was born in Portoviejo and grew up in Guayaquil. I’ve always been the kind of person who wants to know how things work. Computers became part of that curiosity early and became the way I like building things.

I got into software because I liked the feeling of taking an idea, breaking it into smaller problems, and making something real out of it. Over time, that curiosity grew from building interfaces into working on backend systems, APIs, infrastructure, distributed services, and the architecture behind real products.

Today, I work across full-stack development and software architecture. I enjoy designing systems, making technical decisions, improving existing products, and turning messy requirements into software that is easier to maintain and use. I care more about solving the right problem than using the newest tool.

Outside of code, I’m interested in how products grow and how technology changes the way people work. I’m learning, experimenting, and building. That is what I like most about software: there is always another problem worth understanding.
